| From the flag of Brian Tobin (Flagger since 2005) |
Where would Australian cricket supporters be without Luke "Sparrow" Gillian? I'm not sure where they'd be, but i know i'd be lost.
I hit The Flag in 2004 during a google search. The tribe had just come back from Sri Lanka and 250 hardy souls were shortly off to India. I followed their exploits through the daily web diary and then booked for New Zealand 2005, followed by South Africa 2006.
I couldn't rate the whole experience highly enough. Ditto to everything else everyone else has said. Luke is a top bloke, researches the tour to the enth degree, is infamous for his wealth of useless travel tips, pesters you when you need to be pestered, and leaves you alone when you want your own space.
Best of all Luke is genuine. He goes out of his way to say hello to everyone he meets on his travels from all walks of life believing that no one person is better than the next. He is a tremendous ambassador for Australia and Australian Cricket and instils the same sense of pride in Australia in all who travel with him.
Thank You to Luke and The Flag for the opportunity to travel in the past. I look forward to further adventures in the years ahead.
